Resurfacing Work To Close Aviation Parkway Ramps Nov. 13
RDU Airport, NC – Motorists traveling to Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Saturday, Nov. 13 should be aware that crews from the N.C. Department of Transportation will close two key ramps for a portion of the day as work to resurface Aviation Parkway continues.
The ramp from northbound Aviation Parkway to Terminal Boulevard is one of the ramps that will be closed. Motorists headed to RDU from I-40 along Aviation Parkway will be detoured into the airport’s rental car area to access the terminals.
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority recommends that motorists using I-40 to reach RDU on Saturday take Airport Boulevard (Exit 284) to access the airport.
Also, the ramp from outbound Terminal Boulevard to northbound Aviation Parkway will also be closed. Motorists leaving RDU and headed for I-540 via Aviation Parkway will be detoured onto I-40 West to I-540.
The ramp closures will begin at 8 a.m. Both ramps are expected to reopen by late afternoon.
