RDU Launches “Your Story” Contest To Mark Record Year of Growth

Dec 12, 2016

RDU Airport, N.C. – Raleigh-Durham International Airport is on track to reach the highest number of passengers in a single year, nearly 11 million!  To celebrate, the Airport Authority is launching a contest to thank its customers for using RDU during the past year.

“Our record growth simply wouldn’t be possible without each customer choosing to fly from RDU to one of our 46 nonstop destinations,” said Kristie VanAuken, RDU vice-president for communications and community affairs. “Our ‘Your Story’ contest is a fun and engaging way to thank our customers for their support.”

By visiting rdu.com/story, RDU customers can upload a photo and short story about their travels from Raleigh-Durham International Airport in 2016. On Wednesday, December 21, the airport will choose a winner to receive a travel gift card, gift basket from The Shops of RDU that includes a bag by local designer Holly Aiken and a behind-the-scenes tour of the airport.

The winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 21 on Facebook.
