Raleigh-Durham International Airport Prepares for Winter Storm

Some airlines cancel flights in anticipation of inclement weather

RDU Airport, NC – In anticipation of the approaching winter storm, some airlines at RDU have canceled flights scheduled for tomorrow. As of 2 p.m. today, approximately 20 arrivals and departures scheduled for Wed., Feb. 12, have been canceled. Passengers with travel plans over the next several days are advised to contact their airline to confirm the status of their flight.

Crews at RDU are prepared to respond to the storm. The airport and its contractors will treat and clear runways, taxiways and roadways throughout the duration of the storm.
