Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority Elects Officers

RDU Airport, NC — The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority Board of Directors last week elected Steve Toler as its next Chairman. Michael Weeks was elected Vice Chairman, Craigie Sanders Secretary and Terry Yeargan Treasurer.

The new members were elected at the Authority's April 21 meeting.

Toler, appointed to the Authority by Durham County in 1999, follows outgoing Board Chairman Tim Clancy. Prior to the chairmanship, he served as vice chairman of the Authority and chair of the ground access committee. Toler is the managing principal of Steve Toler, LLC.

Wake County appointed Michael Weeks to the Authority in January 2003. He is currently chair of the operations committee. He is a principal of Weeks Turner Architecture of Raleigh.

Sanders, an appointee from Durham County, joined the Authority in January 2003 and serves as chair of the law, finance and personnel committee. He is an attorney with Kennedy, Covington, Lobdell and Hickman, LLP of Morrisville.

Yeargan joined the Authority earlier this year as an appointee from Wake County. He is vice president of Bovis Lend Lease of Raleigh.

An eight-member Board of Directors governs the Airport Authority. The City of Durham, City of Raleigh, Durham County and Wake County are each represented by two members.
