Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority Hires New Communications Manager

RDU Airport, NC – The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority has hired Mirinda J. Kossoff as its new communications manager, replacing Mike Blanton who left the Airport Authority in May to become public affairs director of the N.C. Department of Agriculture.

Kossoff, who began work with the Airport Authority on August 6, has communications and public relations experience in both the public and private sectors. She was with Duke University for a total of 15 years, most recently as director of communications for Duke Law School. She also served as a public affairs director in the Hunt administration and as an assistant managing editor at the News & Observer in Raleigh. As a writer, she has been a news-weekly columnist and an on-air commentator for local public radio and has contributed feature articles to newspapers and magazines.

Kossoff will be in charge of internal and external communications and public relations as well as special projects.
