From Flurry to Fruition: New Routes Are In Place
RDU began 2013 with a flurry of new service announcements including increased service to Los Angeles and Denver, more options to reach Florida and the Newark area and, in June, to St. Louis.
Here’s a recap of all the new flights that have launched from RDU so far this year.
Two Non-stop Flights to Los Angeles
Each day, about 400 people travel between RDU and the L.A. Basin. Now, both American and Delta are offering daily non-stop service to the nation’s second largest city, eliminating the need to make a connection somewhere along the way.
You can now depart RDU either in the early morning on Delta or in the late afternoon on American. You also have choices for your return. Do you like taking a red eye? Delta has you covered. Or return on American’s early morning flight from LAX.
Both airlines use Boeing 737-800 aircraft with first class and economy class on the route. With these additions, passengers now have three daily flights, seven days a week to the West coast. RDU to San Francisco by United Airlines, started in August, 2011. Learn more.
Frontier to Trenton
Heading to Philadelphia, Newark, Staten Island, Southeast Pennsylvania or the New Jersey Coast? Fly Frontier daily to Trenton-Mercer County Airport.

The airport is conveniently located just off I-95 in New Jersey. Frontier is known for its A319 aircraft with DIRECTTV® at each seat. Each plane also has five rows of the airline’s signature STRETCH seating to make the short flight even more comfortable. Learn more about this route. Book your flight now.
