Comair Pilot Strike Having Little Effect at RDU

Mar 26, 2001

RDU Airport, NC  Today's labor action by Comair pilots has resulted in the cancellation of eight scheduled flight departures at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. RDU officials have reported no major problems locally as a result of the strike.

Comair, flying as Delta Connection from RDU, offers five daily departures to Cincinnati and three daily departures to Boston. Cincinnati is also served with daily non-stop service by Delta Airlines and Boston is served with non-stop service by Midway Airlines and US Airways Express.

According to information supplied by Comair, displaced passengers will be re-accommodated on a Delta carrier or other airline.

Passengers impacted by the strike should visit the airline's web site at www.comair.com, or call the Comair passenger assistance line at 1-800-354-9822. Links to all airlines serving RDU can be found at www.rdu.com.

Raleigh-Durham International Airport is currently served by 13 major airlines and 11 regional carriers who offer more than 600 daily scheduled commercial arrivals and departures. Approximately 10.5 million passengers used RDU last year.
